Millbrook Caravan Park has been a family-run business since it was first developed in 1969 on the former site of Low Gatebeck Gunpowder Works in the village of Endmoor, near Kendal.
The majority of the plots are occupied by privately owned static holiday homes, but pitches are also allocated to seasonal and short-stay caravans.
Holiday homes are sited on well maintained, spacious plots which are fully serviced with water, electricity and drainage. Homes 10 and 12ft wide and up to 38ft long can be accommodated.
Facilities include an on-site shop and self operated laundry. Gas bottles are available to purchase or exchange. Ample space is set aside for children to play, with a further playground close by in the village. A full time warden is employed, and at night the park is lit for additional safety.
All our touring pitches have hard standing with electricity connections. Water stand pipes and a chemical toilet disposal unit are nearby, along with toilet and shower facilities. A park shop stocks some essential goods and a variety of food and drink items. A self-operated laundry is available. Calor gas (propane) bottles can be bought/exchanged on site.
Within walking distance in the village of Endmoor are a children’s playground, tennis courts and crown bowling green. A short drive (less than 10 miles) takes you to the ancient market towns of Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale. Historical sites such as castles, mills, churches and heritage railways abound within easy reach.
The attractions of the Lake District are well-known; walk the hills or take a cruise on Windermere. For a different countryside experience, Millbrook is ideally placed to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Lovers of the traditional British seaside can head to the various resorts around Morecambe Bay.
