Fisherground Campsite is set right in the heart of Eskdale, one of Cumbria's loveliest valleys. Here on the West side of the Lake District, we get less rain and more sun than our famous cousins on the other side of Scafell. In this quiet valley, there is still all the peace and tranquility that Lakeland should be, but without the hustle and bustle.
Peace is the watchword on the campsite too. We welcome walkers and families alike, and every effort is made to ensure you enjoy your stay with us.

The newly refurbished toilet block is modern, clean, airy and spacious, and includes hand dryers, hair dryers, and coin operated showers.
There are also 10 deep sinks for washing-up. Hot water is free, and always available.
The Laundry has a washing machine and tumble dryer which are operated by token (available from the Warden). There are 2 domestic tumble driers available, which take 50 pence coins. There is a boot drier for those who love walking whatever the weather — and a purpose built drying room for outdoor gear.
The facilities are cleaned routinely throughout the day and are maintained to the highest standards. There is also a freezer available to freeze your ice packs.
Eskdale Green, the nearest village, has a great little village store with everything you could need for your trip — even an outdoor clothing section for that new pair of boots or waterproofs. With this great stop being within easy walking distance, we choose to support our village shop, and therefore have no convenience store on-site.
