If you are looking for a night under the stars you will never forget then Glamping in one of our luxury yurts is the holiday for you. With the option to add use of an outdoor hot tub and with a modern toilet / shower facility within a few minutes walk of each yurt. For complete authenticity our Mongolian Yurts do not have electricity. We do provide lanterns and candles, but don't panic there is a sitting room, adjacent to our extensive games room, that you can use to charge up your mobile phones.
Set in the heart of the glorious Suffolk countryside, our Yurts have been hand crafted to the highest possible standard for complete authenticity and comfort.
Our yurts are hand crafted in a traditional Mongolian style. You'll find a wood burning stove with built in cooker with all wood for heating and cooking included and a selection of cooking equipment.
Staying in a yurt also offers complimentary use of games room, the Grounds, Gas BBQ (Gas included), shared use of outdoor hot tub - weather permitting - and shared use of a sitting area adjacent to games room.
We also of course have a high quality shower & toilet block.
For complete authenticity there is no electricity in our yurts. Candles and lanterns are provided.
Yurt guests will also need to bring their own towels.

Suffolk Retreats is ideally situated to explore the wonderful Suffolk countryside.
The nearest town of Clare (just under 3 miles away) is a picturesque village famous for the Priory Ruins and Country Park. It also has a golf club, country walks and many tea shops and traditional pubs. There is also a post office in Clare and Country Park - ideal for a picnic.
Nearby Stoke by Clare also offers circular country walking routes.
Long Melford known for its two fabulous historic buildings Kentwell Hall and The National Trust's Melford Hall, are within 20 minutes drive. Suffolk is also well known as being home to many beautiful churches and outstanding country walks.
We are also just a short drive from Suffolk's historic market town of Bury St. Edmunds, with its extensive shopping area, Abbey and Gardens. Visit the famous horse racing track and museum at Newmarket, and don’t forget Newmarket nights, just a 30 minutes drive. Explore Cambridge, the wonderful University City or try punting on the river Cam.
There are two local village pubs a short distance away, as well as a local village store and post office in Hundon. Or, you could just choose to stay onsite and sit and relax with a glass or wine (or two).
Food Outlets
In Clare you will find a selection of local traditional pubs serving a range of different foods, as well as a fish and chip shop, Indian and Chinese restaurants and a Co-op store if you wish to buy provisions. The Plough Pub is just half a mile away and serves homemade food daily.
Haverhill (5 miles away) is a larger town which has a market on Friday’s and Saturdays’ They also have Fish and Chip , Kebab, and Pizza takeaway restaurants or Chinese, Indian, KFC and Subway restaurants for eat in or take away meals. Haverhill also has a Frankie and Benny’s, and Prezzo, as well as large Tesco and Sainsbury’s Stores Various local farmer markets take place at intervals throughout the year.
Tesco / Sainsbury and Waitrose will deliver to the door too.
