Pen y Bont Caravan and Campsite near Bala Lake, in the Snowdonia National Park is a fantastic base for many of the areas outdoor activities including Sailing, Walking, Canoeing, Kayaking and Sightseeing.
Alternatively you can just relax in our beautiful and peaceful site, and take in the local scenery and enjoy the Beautiful Mountains, Lakes and Coastlines, Lake Vyrnwy and many other Tourist Attractions close by.
We offer a unique and friendly service whether you are camping or touring in a caravan.
The Caravan and Campsite covers six acres of landscaped and specially developed land to accommodate a combination of Touring Caravans, Motorhome and Tent pitches, with a new Glamping area featuring a BBQ hut, 3 Shepherd's Huts and 3 Isabella Glamping Tents.
With it’s natural surroundings, the site creates a tranquil and relaxed holiday environment, perfect for guests seeking a quiet rural retreat. Generally we cater for small families, couples and single travelers, groups by prior arrangement only.
Pets Welcome – Pet Friendly Camping
The campsite is Pet Friendly, they are part of your family and welcome on our park. They must however be kept on a lead and secured whilst on the site. There are plenty of great dog walks just around the corner, not forgetting award winning dog friendly pubs and swimming in Bala lake.
Camping Supplies
Whether you are in a caravan, motorhome or tent, you can travel light as there is a well stocked shop/reception area catering for most of your camping needs from tent pegs, airbeds & other accessories, to bread, milk, free range eggs, local cheese etc. Daily delivery (apart from Sunday) from T.J Roberts, award winning local butchers, for your BBQ meats. Calor gas and camping Gaz is available for purchase and Free Wi-Fi is available.
The campsite offers it’s visitors an excellent base to explore the Snowdonia National park and all of North Wales, including Pistyll Rhaeadr, the highest waterfall in Wales. The areas also offers abundant opportunities for sailing and surfing, white water rafting, mountain biking, zip wires and many other attractions.
If you are travelling from the South and using the postcode for satnav purposes, please be mindful that the satnav doesn’t take you over the Berwyn Mountains as the roads are too narrow and winding for towing and driving large vehicles – It would be wise to follow the A5 route.
