Dol Llys Farm Caravan and Camping Site is situated in the heart of Mid Wales on the banks of the River Severn. Just off the A470 and within easy walking distance of Llanidloes, it is the perfect place for your camping or caravan holiday.
Our campsite makes the ideal base to explore the beautiful Mid Wales scenery. There is plenty to do with scenic walks, birdwatching, golf, pony trekking, clay pigeon shooting and bicycle hire all nearby.
Dol Llys is a working farm and campers are welcome to feed the animals and watch the farm activities throughout the season.
Camping down by the River SevernThe camping area is large and level and you can pitch near the facilities or choose to be more secluded and camp down by the river and bushes. Campfires are allowed on the riverbank.
The caravans pitches are in a seperate area with electric hook-ups and hardstanding around the outside of the field. Electric is also available near the facilities for motorhomes and tents.
Tucked away between the A470 and the B4569 and just a mile out of the historic market town of Llanidloes, Dol Llys provides the ideal base to explore the beautiful countryside of Mid Wales.
The site is very convenient for the Glyndwr's Way, Severn Way and the National Cycle Route 81. There are plenty of activities nearby too, from clay pigeon shooting to golf and pony trekking.
St. Idloes Golf Club
Nine hole golf course in undulating parkland with the total length for eighteen holes being 5,510 yards. Par is 66. St. Idloes Golf Club welcomes visiting societies and individuals.
Mid Wales Shooting Centre
Mid Wales Shooting Centre has established itself as one of the premier clay target facilities in the UK. The Centre caters for the novice to the expert shooter. There is also a club house, restaurant and shop.

Llyn Clywedog
The Llyn Clywedog is a man made reservoir formed by the construction of the Clywedog Dam, the tallest of its type in the UK. The Clywedog provides a perfect habitat for wildlife making it ideal for birdwatching and walking. Bryntail Lead Mine is also situated just below the dam.
