We are a family run campsite situated at the foot of the Chiltern Hills in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
There are numerous footpaths in the immediate area and the National Ridgeway Path runs along side the campsite, making it an ideal stop over for those walking the whole trail.
We are a quiet family friendly Camping & Caravanning Club CS, having been voted Best CS for families 2014, and we allow just 5 caravans and approx 50 tents per night, plus caravan rallies on the separate rally field.
We have an abundance of wildlife including Red Kites, buzzards, hedgehogs, owls, bats, rabbits etc.
Although we do not have electric hook up facilities, we can charge your battery for you.
Within the toilet block we have 7 toilets and 6 wash basins, 3 showers, 3 washing up sinks, a fridge, microwave and kettle as well as sockets for hairdryers, tongs etc.
The town of Watlington is the smallest in the country and is just a 10-15 minute walk from the campsite. Here you will find an award winning butcher, small Co-Op, Post Office, Library, Cheese Deli & Coffee shop, Gift shops, 3 pubs all serving food, an Indian takeaway or eat in and a Fish & Chip shop.
Nearby we have several National Trust properties, Oxford 18 miles and it takes just 45 minutes on the train to London from High Wycombe. Legoland, Thorpe Park and Cotswold Wildlife Park are all within driving distance for a day out.
From Junction 6 of M40 Motorway, take the B4009 to Watlington. After 3 miles turn left into Hill Road (the Kingfisher fish & chip shop is in front of you – turn left before it), carry straight on, past the car park on right, Carriers Arms PH on left. After half mile our turning is on the right. Come up the driveway and, if Reception is unmanned, please ring the Reception bell located between the two dark grey garage doors.
