Dovercourt Caravan Park has a full family entertainments programme which features their popular Kid’s Club during the school holidays with many top quality artists appearing on the stage in the evening shows throughout the year.
Dovercourt park has all the great touring facilities you would expect and more; brand new Camping Pods, electric hard standing pitches, shower blocks, an outdoor swimming pool, a newly refurbished clubhouse that has been developed further for 2020 - take a tour here - with lively entertainment on selected nights, and an all-weather sports court for those feeling active. There’s also a small shop, an adventure playground (and ball pit), and even a mini-golf course if you feel like perfecting your Rory Mcilroy impression.
Dovercourt seafront is a pleasant tide-washed beach and has been awarded the prestigious blue flag for quality. Within walking distance there is a sports hall, café, amusements, skating rink, putting green and a croquet lawn to keep visitors entertained.
The historical nature of Dovercourt and nearby Harwich attracts visitors from all over the country. Local landmarks like one of the country’s oldest cinemas - The Electric Palace, the formidable Redoubt Fortress, the Lifeboat Museum, the Halfpenny Pier, The Radio Museum, Angel Gate and the Old Treadmill Crane mean those in search of culture and history should be in their element.
From the park take a short amble to the Dovercourt seafront, it’s a Blue Flag Beach, offering traditional seaside fun, and perfect for a spot of sunbathing or a refreshing dip in the briny.
FROM LONDON
A12 then A120 to Ramsey roundabout and turn right. Continue for 1 mile and then turn right at the mini-roundabout (One Stop Shop) and then left at the next mini-roundabout which takes you onto the Low Road. Dovercourt Caravan Park is about 1 mile on the right hand side.
FROM PARKESTON QUAY
Follow All Routes signs out of the Quay. At the roundabout just past Morrisons supermarket take the right hand exit A12 London At the traffic lights take the left hand turn marked Dovercourt then at the next mini roundabout turn right marked Ramsey, then turn left at the war memorial and just pass the fire station take the next right into Hall Lane. At the bottom turn right into Low Road, we are on the left hand side.
