This area is known as ‘The Menage’ in Cornish this means ‘Land of the Saints’, so paths dotted with Celtic crosses where early christian pilgrims walked criss cross the peninsular. Remains of little chapels can often be found in the undergrowth. Ironage settlements and burial mounds are dotted all over the Lizard and of course theres the tin mines to visit and learn about Cornwalls industrial past.
