Burton Hill has a quiet, riverside location with far-reaching views across the Wiltshire countryside. Visitors enjoy the sound of birdsong and the restful atmosphere.
The River Avon is a short walk away, with a footpath providing an easy stroll into Malmesbury with its shops, restaurants, cafes and facilities.
The campsite field is grassy, level and flat. It is open plan, although the individual plots with hook-up are clearly marked.
We are committed to providing our visitors and residents with an environmentally friendly site. It is our aim to provide recycling facilities, to use renewable energy where possible and to encourage a haven for wildlife, in fact to be as energy efficient and ‘green’ as we can.
Burton Hill is ideally situated to enjoy the great outdoors or to explore further afield.
Malmesbury, the oldest borough in England, is a bustling, medieval Wiltshire market town with shops, supermarket, pubs and restaurants.
Why not visit the 12th century abbey and the famous Abbey House Gardens. Burton Hill makes an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds, with Westonbirt Arboretum, the city of Bath, Cirencester, Gloucester, Stonehenge and the Cotswold Water Park within easy reach.
Activities such as fishing, cycling, walking, and golf are within easy reach. The town boasts a leisure centre and swimming pool. The Cotswold Water Park is just 20 minutes by car.
Take the A429 south from Cirencester towards Malmesbury and the M4. Do not go into the town but stay on the by-pass. Keep straight on at all times. At the first round about you will have a water tower on your right and a BP garage on your left. At the second roundabout keep straight on taking the second exit. Less than 150 yards after the roundabout, just after the police station on your right and before leaving Malmesbury, Burton Hill Caravan Park is clearly signposted. Turn right into Arches Lane. We are before the 30/40 mph sign.
From M4 junction 17, travel north towards Cirencester on the A429 for 5 miles. Pass by an RAF camp on your left and go through the village of Corston. As you approach Malmesbury at the 30 mph sign, Burton Hill Caravan Park is clearly signposted to the left, 20m past the 40/30 mph sign and before the roundabout. Look out for Arches Lane. (If you have gone onto the roundabout, you have gone too far!)
