Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre is located in Bransgore in the New Forest National Park. Offering an extensive range of outdoor adventure activities at a height, on land or water based, we are are open to day visits, short breaks and residentials. As a fully accessible centre, we provide equal opportunities for everyone to experience, learn and develop.
The New Forest is an incredible place to spend a weekend, and at Avon Tyrrell we offer true New Forest Camping in a natural environment. This is a family-friendly campsite which is also suitable for groups and with various camping areas you can decide if you want to camp in the forest trees or down by the lake. Wherever you choose, Avon Tyrrell is the perfect place to pitch up and enjoy the beautiful outdoors.
With on site lodges and 6 campsites, Avon Tyrrell is the ideal location for family trips and holidays. Camp under the stars within the wooded areas or out in the open by the lake, it's up to you where you want to pitch up. We have hot shower and changing facilities, washing and washing up areas, BBQ's to hire and outdoor dining areas to make it a great stay for you.

Free equipped amenity blocks with hot water, showers, toilets and washing up areas. Boathouse and Reception are shared facilities. The Forest Camping is gender specific.

Off Site
Go off site and you have direct access to the New Forest National Park. Take a long walk across open heathlands, grab your bike and cycle one of the many trails or visit the local villages to absorb some New Forest culture.

Travelling from London, the North or East
From the southbound M3 motorway just before you get to Southampton, join the M27 and follow signs for the West and Bournemouth (the M27 eventually becomes the A31 dual carriageway). After approximately 15 miles, exit off the A31 left for Burley (signposted Burley and Services) and follow the signs into Burley (about 3 miles). In the centre of the village you will find a triangular junction - turn right (signposted Bransgore and Avon Tyrrell). After a couple of miles you will rise up a hill and come to a crossroads at Thorney Hill. Turn right (signposted for Avon Tyrrell).
Go over the cattle grid, continue for 400m until you reach a fork in the road, Avon Tyrrell is signposted. Take the right fork which is our private drive. Please obey the speed limit and watch out for the speed ramps, at the end keep left and follow the drive up to Avon Tyrrell House at the end.
Travelling from the West of England
Coming from the West of England head for Ringwood via the A31 or A338, continue East past Ringwood up the main A31 dual carriageway for about 1 mile. As you get to the top of a hill there is the turning off left signposted to Burley and services. Continue to Burley and Avon Tyrrell as per the directions above.
