Wild Boar Wood is part of Pegs and Pitches Camping, two beautiful woodland campsites in Sussex.
The Campsite offers off-grid "wild glamping" in fully-equipped, pre-erected bell tents. Campers can expect all the benefits of wild, woodland camping without having to pitch a tent. Den building and campfires are encouraged! The site has nine pre-erected bell tents within a five-acre bluebell wood in the heart of Sussex and part of the High Weald, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
If you prefer to pitch your own tent - please take a look at Beech Estate Campsite, which features both bell tents and pitches.
We have a warden on site to assist campers at all times and the site is great for families and groups who can catch up around the campfire. Full campsite bookings are also available for that special celebration. The two ‘faraway’ tents offer a more secluded option, tucked away from the main campsite, for couples and families wanting their own space.
The site's bell tents are set in among the trees so you feel like you are really getting away from it all but its location in West Sussex, near Haywards Heath and the Ashdown Forest, means it is within easy reach of London and Brighton. Wild Boar Wood Campsite offers an opportunity to camp side-by-side with nature, whilst enjoying the comfort of our tents, with beds, cooking equipment, open fire barbecue grill and a firewood allocation.
Wild Boar Wood and its surrounding 40-acre field teems with wildlife; birds, butterflies, deer, rabbits and foxes make their homes in the field, hedgerows and woodland. The peace and tranquility of the site and surrounding area are interrupted only by the historic and spectacular Bluebell Railway locomotives as they occasionally steam past the edge of the woodland campsite! We operate a small scale quiet, relaxed and laid back campsite. We don’t allow amplified music and have a low noise policy from 10pm in the evenings.
Bell Tent (Night) | £93 to £108 |

Extra Child (3-16) | £17 |
Many campers at Wild Boar Wood spend their time relaxing, exploring the wood, observing the wildlife, building dens, enjoying their campfire and waving to steam trains passing by on the Bluebell Railway.
